Sustainable Jakarta Convention

Interested in exploring commercial opportunities within the green built environment?

Skyscrapers and new building projects are adding to our skyline every day – making infrastructure development one of the hottest issues in Jakarta today. This is one of the reasons the city is rallying together this November for the two-day Sustainable Jakarta Convention held between November 10th-11th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jakarta. We would be very pleased for you to join us.

We’ll be hearing the very best ideas for developing a sustainable future for Jakarta: and that’s something you really shouldn’t miss!

Our line-up of 40 speakers includes both local and international experts who will be sharing their thoughts on the key issues of the day: development, financing and investment, and environmental solutions for the city. Topics include:

  • Sustainable construction and adequate housing
  • Financing and investing for sustainability
  • Transportation needs
  • Energy efficiency and conservation
  • Waste and water management
Sharing their views this November, our speakers include:

  • The Governor of DKI Jakarta Dr. Ing. H. Fauzi Bowo; giving the keynote address, focusing on development plans up to 2020.
  • Dorodjatun Kuntjoro Jakti; looking at the green economy of today and tomorrow.
  • Toby Bath, managing director for HOK International Asia Pacific region; showcasing best practices in integrated urban development.
  • Aurora Tambunan, the deputy governor of Jakarta; using history as an asset to develop the future.
  • Thomas Arifin, Bank Mandiri; exploring eco-financing in Indonesia.
  • Gita Wiryawan, formerly of Citibank, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan; sizing up opportunities in urban infrastructure
  • Chris Seeley, Clinton Foundation; looking at energy efficiency for building owners.
  • Panangian Simanungkalit; looking at what you should know before investing in Jakarta.
  • Gordon Benton, architect and developer, Lippo; taking plans from the meeting room to the street: a look at how to implement strategy.

The breadth of speakers this year ensures a diverse range of local and international perspectives, and includes some of the very best in contemporary thought from Hong Kong, China, India, and Europe.

The two days of the programme is broken into leading presentations in the mornings, followed by three concurrent discussions on specific themes in the afternoons. Throughout the two days, an exhibition in the hotel
features sustainable, locally-available products and services.

Informative and participatory, the convention is also a great networking opportunity and chance to identify new business opportunities.

Register before October 30th and enjoy the early bird 10% discount.
